Ο Δημήτρης Κεχρής γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1986. Είναι απόφοιτος του τμήματος Φυσικής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Με τη φωτογραφία ασχολείται από το 2006. Έχει παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια διετούς διάρκειας στο εργαστήρι καλλιτεχνικής φωτογραφίας του Δήμου Ζωγράφου με επιμορφωτή το Νίκο Δημολίτσα. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε εκθέσεις φωτογραφίας στo Βυζαντινό Μουσείο(2014), στο Ίδρυμα Μ. Κακογιάννης(2013), στην Ταινιοθήκη της Ελλάδος (2012), στο Μουσείο Γουναρόπουλου(2010), στο Μουσείο Ιστορίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών(2007-2010) και στο Blackduck Multiplarte(2013,2014). Η πρώτη του ατομική έκθεση με τίτλο «Playing Roles» φιλοξενήθηκε στον Τεχνοχώρο Φάμπρικα(2014). Στα πλαίσια του Πολιτιστικού Ομίλου του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών έχει παρουσιάσει σεμινάρια ιστορίας της φωτογραφίας(2010-2011). Αρθρογραφεί σχετικά με τον κινηματογράφο σε έντυπα και διαδικτυακά περιοδικά. / Dimitris Kechris was born in Athens in 1986. He graduated from the Physics Department of the Athens University. He deals with photography since 2006. He has attended two-year seminars in the artistic photography workshop of Municipality of Zografos with Nikos Dimolitsas as an instructor. He has participated in exhibitions at the Byzantine Museum(2014), the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation(2013), the Greek Film Archive(2012), the Gounaropoulos Museum(2010), the History Museum of the Athens University(2007-2010) and the BlackDuck Multiplarte(2013,2014). His first solo exhibition «Playing Roles» was presented at the Fabrica art gallery(2014).Within the Cultural Association of the Athens University he has presented History of Photography seminars. He writes film reviews for online and printed magazines.
